Megan is the on site coordinator for the Apalachicola NERR, located in Eastpoint, FL on the Apalachicola Bay. As ECSC coordinator, Megan supports student and faculty research in many facets of ecological processes, ranging from oyster biomes to plankton populations to marsh grass habitats. Megan’s research interests include sea turtle nesting on local barrier islands and estuarine water quality.
Coordinator of Research Services at the Grand Bay NERR Christina Mohrman is the on site coordinator at the Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reseve, located in southeastern Mississippi. Through her activities with the ECSC, Christina supports student and faculty activities and collaborates on research projects related to ecological processes, ecotoxicology, remote sensing/GIS, and conceptual ecosystem modeling. Christina’s research interests are focused on studying the ecology and conservation of diamondback terrapins in southeastern Mississippi and the Florida Keys.
